MEMBERSHIP INFO & APPLICATION

SDI is open for membership to Malaysians and non-Malaysians: non-Malaysians could become Associate Members. Those interested in becoming members have to contribute to SDI by writing papers/articles on development in the Sarawak Development Journal and Channel-K (member's newsletter) or by presenting seminar or conference papers.

INSTITUTE'S MEMBERSHIP

Currently, the Institute has about 132 ordinary members, 8 associate members and 7 corporate members.

MEMBERSHIP CRITERION & BENEFITS

Criterion for Ordinary & Associate Member

a. Submit an application form (online application form is also available) together with an article on development (3,000 words or more); or
b. Present a paper in the seminars or conferences organised by SDI

1. Ordinary Membership

a. 25% discount on registration fees for conferences & seminars organised by SDI
b. 20% discount for SDI's publications
c. Participation in forums, seminars, discussions and talks on current issues

2. Associate Membership

a. 25% discount on registration fees for conferences & seminars organised by SDI
b. Complementary SDI Journal for members not living in Sarawak
c. Participation in forums, seminars, discussions and talks on current issues

3. Corporate Membership

Corporate membership has been introduced since early 2001. It is open to organisations & corporations
