identifying the best module to hasten development and
increase household income among rural folk in Sarawak.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Douglas UggahEmbas said rural
economic development will support higher development goals
for the state including increasing food security and offering
more employment opportunities. Douglas said a
comprehensive module is needed to transform the economy in
the rural areas, which in turn will help reduce household
income disparity between the rural folk and their urban
